Phew, third and last day wrapped up and here a couple of my favorite sessions was held. These were True to the Core and Admin Keynote. These are sessions that touch the things I do on an day to day basis.
True To The Core sessions are one of the highlights during Dreamforce, as co-founder Parker Harris took the stage with several product managers, and they bring out information from Salesforce (SF) roadmap and answer live questions from the audience. They announce updates that has been released, and upcoming roadmap items that will be released.
This year they announced a “True to the Core Light” community, where during the year, webinars will be held, and you get a collected webinar of updates from the roadmap. This time around, there was an huge bump of +30% more ideas that has been managed and published. In total 367 ideas was delivered.
Below some highlights:
- Dynamic Forms
- Condition Tab Visibility – Delivered
- Blank Space Component – Delivered
- Conditional Field Formatting – Delivered
- Dynamic Highlights Panel – Delivered
- Modernization of Setup
- User Access Summaries – Delivered
- Custom Report Types in Lightning – Delivered
- User Access in Lightning – Pending
- Lightning is now faster 26%.
- List View Multi-Column sorting – Delivered
- LWC List Views for Custom & Standard Objects – Delivered
- Related List View Multi-Column Sort – Pending
- List View Default Sort – Pending
- Related List View Inline Edit – Pending
- New design for Lightning UI
- Advanced user preferences, including night (dark) mode
A lot of great updates has already been delivered, but from the pending side, a special “woop woop” for the dark mode, that should be delivered in Spring ’25 release, which for my company is scheduled to happen February 15th.
From the Admin Keynote, one pick was that there had been delivered an amazing 998k IdeaExchange points. Great!
Another sweet feature is the Conditional Field Formatting. This brings with it some great use cases. As an basic example, if the Case record has priority High, the field could be formatted to be red, so that the agent will notice it in their Case list more easily.
To on-screen flows, there’s going to come during 2025 Paths. These paths will in an visible way show the form user how far they are in the flow.
Also highlighted in the Admin Keynote was the Salesforce Channels in Slack. There you can have record channels, which make it possible to update straight from Slack which can be an huge advantage for both the assigned support agent, as well as others in the company who is invested in the record. For instance an developer, account manager and others.
And lastly some big numbers from the Admin Keynote.

The things mentioned in the these 4 post, are just a surface scrape of everything mentioned and brought up during Dreamforce 2024. Luckily Salesforce+ service holds sessions for later view, and keeping that in mind, and to return is preferred.
So what’s next?
Well during Dreamforce, Salesforce launched a new thing, which is an online hands-on workshop. This will happen during week 39, and one can register to it on http://sforce.co/virtualworkshops.
Also Winter ’25 release is happening in October. So keep an eye out for that, and the release notes have been published. So highly recommend to get familiar to it, and prepare for changes that might affect your Org.
I also recommended to take part in the release readiness live’s, which can also be found on Salesforce+.
But for now, thanks to the readers and maybe more will come later.
